Description: This year’s theme for the Menstrual Hygiene Day 2023 was “Making Menstruation a Normal Part of Life by 2030” which brought together Non-Profit Organization, Government Agencies, Individuals, Private sectors and the Media to catalyze advocacy and action together in creating a world where no one is held back because they menstruate. To mark Menstrual Hygiene Day 2023 J-HF Visited GDJSS Wauro Jabbe Yola South LGA of Adamawa State, where we conducted sensitization to the 100 adolescent girls on good menstrual hygiene, menstrual cycle and GBV Prevention and response. J-HF held Focus Group Discussions with the girls to discuss issues they face and allow them to recommend solutions based on the challenges they face during their monthly cycle which was further discussed with the school authority as well as distribution of 100 Sanitary pads to the girls. This is to ensure women and girls live in an environment that values and supports them manage their menstruation with dignity and to overcome menstrual stigma as well as living a life free from any forms of Violence against women and girls.
