TRADITIONAL JUSTICE SYSTEM (TJS) – RECORD KEEPING CENTERS (RKC’s)

Jami Al Hakeem Foundation in partnership with MCN/British Council has continued to develop the capacity of the traditional institutions in Adamawa State. The record keeping centres (RKCs) has been established and located across the state; the Adamawa Emirate Council, the Mubi Emirate Council, the Ganye Chiefdom and Numan Federation to enhance recording of mediation cases and sharing of information on the performance of the institutions

VOLUNTARY POLICING SECTOR (VPS) – COMMUNITY POLICINGs

Jami Al Hakeem Foundation in partnership with MCN/British Council has effectively managed the VPS groups- in Girei, Gombi, Mubi North, Michika, and Madagali LGA’s respectively. Furthermore the capacity of the VPS groups was developed to strengthen Coordination between the formal and informal security organisations in the state.

FAMILY SUPPORT UNITS (FSU’s)

The FSU in Police Stations located in- Jimeta division (CID), Yola Division (Wuro Hausa), Girei Police division and Mubi division has proven to be an effective way of addressing and responding to sexual abuse and other gender-based violence. The Family Support Units (FSUs) are specialized units with a mandate to receive complaints and investigate all forms of SGBV, including child abuse and violence against children. The FSUs collaborate with other agencies and partners within the security and justice sector to investigate allegations of sexual and domestic violence, and other forms of exploitations against women and vulnerable members of society. The FSU’s are been managed by Jami Al Hakeem Foundation in partnership with the British Council
